Industrial Scientific's 8000 Controller meets your plant safety monitoring requirements today, yet it is easily modified to meet the changing needs of tomorrow. The 8000 Controller is a multi-channel controller that monitors up to sixteen 4-20 mA transmitters. With a variety of sensors to choose from, the 8000 Controller can easily be configured to meet most any monitoring need, for more than just gases. The 8000 is simply programmed with the press of a few keypads and can simultaneously process multiple signals.
Available sensors include gas sensors, liquid level alarms ... even-flow or pressure transmitters. The 8000 Controller has on-board contacts that can activate external devices such as alarm horns, lights and pumps when triggered by detected conditions at any sensor. The system is fully programmable, providing flexibility to meet current requirements, yet adapts quickly when your needs change. The 8000 Controller can link to a remote computer via an RS-232 serial port and is available with optional Windows®-based datalogging software.
Like all Industrial Scientific products, the 8000 Controller is built to withstand rugged conditions while delivering peak performance at all times. The unit is tamper-resistant and requires the user to enter a security code in order to obtain access to the operating keypad.
